The Volvo World Golf Challenge runs throughout the year all over the globe
and is Volvo’s hugely popular tournament for customers and prospects. Now as
we approach the exciting World Final, the championship will be contested
over the number one course in South Africa, the Links at Fancourt, which
also hosted the 2012 Volvo Golf Champions on the European Tour and has
hosted several prestigious events such as the President’s Cup.
Following tonight’s welcome reception, it’s time to get ready for a great
golfing adventure. On Sunday and Monday, the finalists will have the chance
to practise and make their final preparations here before playing two
rounds, one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday, to determine who will be the
new world champion.
For all the golfers here this week, they will feel as though they are
playing in their very own Major, the biggest event of their lives. And on
Wednesday afternoon, the celebrations will begin as the new Volvo World Golf
Challenge champion is crowned.
Staffan Jonson, Project Director for the World Final said, “We are now
looking forward to welcoming all the players to this wonderful venue. The
whole team including the hosts from each country will do our very best to
make this an amazing golfing experience for our customers both off and on
